Curmudgeon: A new feature to the blog.kradelteam.com.
Blog posts under this category will not be about real estate, will not be about Charlotte, and will not be about anything but me and my perspectives after 52+ years on this planet.
Who am I? I’m Mark Kradel, Curmudgeon. What is a curmudgeon? A synonym would be a grump. Other descriptions, may be a complainer, someone who comes across as surly. I object to some of those characterizations. I’d prefer to say a curmudgeon is a realist. That’s me. I see things very clearly, and I’m not afraid to enlighten people on that reality, in very clear and direct terms. That is what I’m going to do with these blogs. I’m going to show you reality.
Now admittedly this reality, is my reality. I’m not making any excuses for that. You can have your reality, I’m hoping that my flashlight into life will help you see yours. I am not going to qualify or hedge what I say. I’m going to tell you exactly what I see and why I see it. It is important to note, I do not claim to be right. I most certainly am not always right. For example, once I thought I was wrong, but I wasn’t (bad joke, those come with the territory).
In many cases, the blogs in this category will take the format of rules I live by. I will number them as an homage to NCIS and Gibbs, love that show. Some of the rules I got from other people, some I came upon all by my insightful self. The blog will have other content also, as I plan to throw in a bit of technology reviews and commentary because it’s a hobby of mine.
Just a tiny little bit about myself for perspective. I work for a large (very large) technology company. I do not and will not be speaking for that company. It may become apparent at some point what company that is, but I won’t advertise it, and I will avoid some subjects because this blog will in no way represent my work for that company. Even though one can qualify and say “these are my views and do not represent the views of the company”, that will be true, but not everyone will be able to make that distinction. So when in doubt I will steer clear of some subjects. I am a technical person, my role is technical 100%, not sales, not marketing, not administrative. I spend all day, every day, working on large complex IT projects. This experience will bleed into my blogs as dealing with these types of projects has given rise to many of views and perspectives.
I am not subtle, though I pretend to be, so I will be slipping in some of my passions into the blogs and the accompanying pictures and illustrations. My intent, if it makes sense, is to illustrate the blogs I write with some sort of graphic.
The graphic included with this introduction has one main point. The blogs are my opinion. I’m not trying to evaluate other possibilities. The expressions are how I see things now, today. I reserve the right to see it differently tomorrow. I will not, and do not, burden myself with what other people say or interpret. At some point I will quote or reference external items, sayings, events, quotes etc. I, for the most part, will not research what other people think they mean. What matters is what it means to me. Oh yeah, by the way, if you need to buy or sell a house visit our Kradel Team website!
