College Football Recap
Monday will be the last college football game of the year when Clemson faces Alabama. Ya, Alabama probably will boringly dominate again. Hopefully not, it’s quite boring in my opinion to have the same team win over and over. Something different please for once.
The story line this postseason though is not only the amount of blowouts but the awful TV ratings the largest bowls got. Those bowl game ratings plummeted.
The blowouts we got, a lot of it probably does have to do with the long breaks between the final game of the regular season and the larger bowl games. That’s something that unfortunately probably can’t be fixed because those games are always around New Years.
What can be fixed though was the not so bright idea of the NCAA to have the playoff games on New Years Eve. That’s a holiday when everyone, if they are watching TV, is watching the New York ball drop festivities. They shouldn’t have even attempted to compete with that. Could’ve played on December 30 or January 2.
Next week, I probably will be writing more on the NFL playoffs and the Panthers chances. (Hey Minnesota, can you knock off Seattle please?)
