The NHL season is drawing to a close soon and every contender’s worst fears are coming about: The LA Kings and Boston Bruins are surging into the playoffs. Two of the most successful recent playoff teams which looked left for dead earlier, are now riding high.
Both LA and Boston have that feel of teams that refuse to lose. LA has come back multiple times in the playoffs from down 0-3 in a 7 game series. Boston on the other hand always winds up getting hot goalies who are nearly unbeatable in the playoffs. Many fans of the top contenders are likely fearful about facing either of them.
Speaking of the contenders: On the one hand there are teams like the Rangers and Chicago which seem to be rolling on their way into the playoffs. While on the other hand, Nashville and the Islanders, who looked so good through much of the season are suddenly stumbling. Will the hot teams stay hot in the playoffs? Will the cold stay cold? Guess we will have to wait and see.
