This was certainly a big weekend in college wasn’t it?
One of the biggest shockers actually occurred on Friday when Washington ran roughshod over Stanford. On the positive side, this clearly puts Washington in a position to make the playoffs. On the negative, if they slip up once the PAC 12 is probably out as Stanford looked AWFUL.
In the SEC, Tennessee won probably the best college game of the season against Georgia in arguably a must win game for their own self esteem. Now, Tennessee will be hosting Alabama in 2 weeks. It will be billed as a great, important game. While it will be a great game hopefully, in reality it probably won’t be that important. It’s extremely likely they will play again in the SEC title game regardless of the outcome and THAT one will matter.
Continuing on to the Tennessee v Georgia game, THAT game is exactly why college is great. I mean 2 hail mary’s in 15 seconds? That’d never happen in pros. Completely unpredictable.
Another huge game was Clemson vs Louisville and now it will take a complete collapse to prevent Clemson from reaching the playoffs with how awful the Big 12 is.
